How Claim Animalz collects consent to text

In short

Claim Animalz Inc is a Colorado licensed public adjusting company. When we are handling your property insurance claim, we may text you about that claim only — an appointment time, a document we need, an update, or an answer to a question you asked us.

Consent to receive text messages is optional and is never a condition of service. If you do not want texts, nothing changes: we continue by phone, email and mail, and you are represented exactly the same way.

We never send marketing, advertising or sales texts. There are no promotions, no bulk sends and no automated campaigns.

The four ways a person opts in

These are all of them. Each one is optional, and none of them is required to hire us, to sign anything, or to receive service.

1. The website form — www.claimanimalz.com/contact-us/

A person asking us to review their claim fills in the form on that page, including their phone number. In the Consent section near the bottom there is an optional checkbox that is UNCHECKED when the page loads. Submitting the form does not require it. Here is that section of the live page:

The checkbox reads, word for word:

Text me about my claim at the number above — optional; not required for service. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

with links to our Privacy Policy and Terms beside it.

2. The document signing page

When you sign Claim Animalz claim documents electronically through ClaimRecord, the same optional, unchecked box appears above the signature, with your number already filled in so you can correct it. Checking it is not part of signing — the document is signed, and is valid, whether the box is checked or not.

The signing page is a private link sent to one named person, so it cannot be made public without exposing someone's claim documents. This image shows the box exactly as it appears there, reproduced from the page's own markup and stylesheet:

3. Verbal consent on a recorded call

Calls on Claim Animalz claim lines are recorded, so a verbal consent is itself on record. A Claim Animalz representative asks, word for word:

May we text you about your claim at this number? Messages are about your claim only. Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out. Texting is optional and not required for us to represent you.

If the person agrees, ClaimRecord sends one confirmation text and nothing else:

Claim Animalz Inc: you asked us to text you about your claim at [address]. Reply YES to confirm. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Nothing further is sent until the person replies YES. If they do not reply, no other message is ever sent to that number.

4. The person texts us first

If someone sends a text to the Claim Animalz claim number they were given, we reply. The reply identifies Claim Animalz by name and tells them how to stop.

Stopping, restarting and getting help

  • Reply STOP to the number that texted you and the messages end. We send one confirmation that you are unsubscribed, and then nothing further.
  • Reply START to that same number to begin receiving them again.
  • Reply HELP and you get our name and a real phone number and email address for a person at Claim Animalz.
  • You can also simply tell your adjuster, in any conversation, that you would rather not be texted.

Opting out of texts never affects your claim, your representation, or anything you have signed.

Frequency, rates and the records we keep

Message frequency varies and depends on what is happening on your claim — typically a few messages per claim per week.

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan. Claim Animalz charges nothing for text messages.

For every number we text, we keep a consent record showing the name, the number, the date and time, and the method — which of the four paths above the consent came from — together with the exact wording that was shown or read at the time. Those records are held in ClaimRecord alongside the claim.

Your mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our full Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
